ANSWER: Hi Angel,

Your engine is flooded and may need to be rebuild. change your spark plugs, your oil, and get your timing adjusted. That may help you but in most cases either a new engine is needed or a rebuild.

Also get rid of the cold air intake if you want more power get a cold box it's better and safer.

Thanks,
Daniel

QUESTION: ok thanks for that
do you know how much it cost to rebuild the engine or what parts do a need to do so? is a 2002 rsx base model

Answer
Hi Angel,

It really depends on what you want to do. Do you want to rebuild it for performance or just everyday driving? If you do want just a daily driver engine finding a used base engine is not hard and might be cheaper then a rebuild some times. It really depends on what items are damaged, your valves may need to be replaced as they may be bent, you will need to pull off your intake manifold and clean that out. It's possible that your fuel rail may need to be replaced, but that rarely happens. You may need new piston seals and you will definitely need to pull off the oil pan and clean that out. Check your compression that will give you a few answers as to what is going on.

Good luck, and if there is anything else let me know.

Thanks,
Daniel
