Alfa Romeo Repair: 93 Alfa Spyder, ac volts, positive cable

Question
It is a Motronic possibly a 4.1. Only one ECU. Fuel management and spark in one box. FYI, while testing components the car suddenly decided to run and has been running ever since. I assume it is not fixed and will reaccur. Any thoughts?
thanks

Maybe you have already answered this but here goes. This car has no spark. Bad module? Where is it located? How does the MSD6A wire in? Are there any voltage checks to be made at the module plug?
Thanks alot

If you can get this information from your owners manual I will be able to answer your questions: which ignition system and model of ignition system are you using.

Answer
you run the msd 6 off the single signal from the ecu. wiring diagram comes with unit.

By unplugging and reconnecting many times the corrosion build up is cleaned off. Clean battery terminals and clean grounds are essential for solid state components.

As well as a clean output from the alternator.  Using a DMM set to AC volts read that voltage at the battery. If it is more than 0.250 volts then get a new alternator.

It also helps to reset the computer by disconnecting the neg cable from the battery and touching it to the positive cable for 10 to 20 seconds--then reconnecting it to the battery.
