Alfa Romeo Repair: Engine Temp, dot 4 brake fluid, clutch hydraulics

Question
I have an Alfa 156 and noticed that when stuck in traffic the temp gauge goes just over 3/4 mark, is this ok?

Also some mornings cold or warm the clutch biting point feels very low compared to normal, it may have 2 inchs of play before i can feel any resistance. Once i have driven the car for approx 10 mins it seems ok?

Answer
The temp reading is probably ok but checking actual temp in the radiator compared to the gauge reading is necessary.  Most fan sensors are set to turn on fairly high.

Flush the clutch hydraulics with dot 4 brake fluid and inspect the hoses for wear.
