Alfa Romeo Repair: car wont start, car wont start, tnx

i just bought a new battery and the car wont start then i tried to jumpstart but still it wont start. so i dunno what is the problem its either the starter or alternator...tnx

With the transmission in neutral... run a wire from the battery positive to the small wire on the starter.  If the starter now works the problem is probably in the ignition switch; if still now response the the problem is with the starter or the big cables running to the starter and engine.
