American Motors: ignition, solenoid, amc

i have a 74 amc matador 304, the problem is that when i crank over the car it will only run when its being cranked over, I've established that its a wire not giving power to the coil. i ran a wire form the coil to the solenoid and it'll start but it wont shut off when the key is off. thanks zach.

Follow the instructions for testing the ignition switch.
