American Motors: 88 Eagle Premeir In colum Ignition switch, chrysler dodge, dodge dealer

To solve some questions, in mid-year of 1988 AMC switched the location of the ignition switch from the bottom of the column to behind the ign switch. When they did this they also went to Raco-Pinion Steering.

My problem is I need the second type that mounts on the back of the Ignition cylinder. I am in Portland, Or. and need one that is in very good or new condition. Anyone know who sells new or after market? Drop me an email at  .

I do not have any local sources for later model Renault Eagles nor am I familiar with them.
If my memory is correct, which at my age is rare, 1988 was also the first year for Renault badged Eagles, both front wheel drive. You have a Renault based vehicle then, sorry, I can't help you. You might try a Chrysler/Dodge dealer, as your vehicle is the same as their 1990 Monaco.
