American Motors: 62 Rambler Classic, borg warner, borge warner

Will a '62 cast iron 196 engine originally installed in a car with a three speed manual trans fit in front of a '61 cast iron Borge Warner automatic. I understand that there may be issues between the crankshafts of the manual vs. automatic setup. Can you please advise?

If the Borg Warner is from an 61 Rambler, there should be no problem. You will also need a flex plate and remove the pilot bushing from the crank. If you were installing a later model automatic, post 71, there would be a problem with the crankshaft.
