American Motors: 1961 Rambler Fuel Pump, alum block, vacuum line

Question
I'm restoring a 1961 Rambler Classic with the alum.block 6 cyl engine.  It has vacuum wipers with vacuum assist from the fuel pump.  All hoses were disconnected when purchased.  It appears fuel line from tank connects to the top rear port on pump.  There are 2 ports on the bottom rear of fuel pump.  It appears one of the ports connects to the wiper vacuum line(I do not know which one).  1/ What connects to the 2nd port on the bottom of pump, and 2/ which port does the wiper line connect to?? (inboard or outboard side of pump) Thanks for any help.

Answer
If my memory serves me, one of the lines run to the wiper motor, the other to manifold vaccuum. I do not recall which one is which. Just hook them up and turn on the wipers with the engine idling. Rev the engine up. If the wipers work OK, the lines are hooked up correctly. IF they don't work OK, swap the lines. If they still don't work, either your pump or wiper motor is bad. You should have vaccum at the hose that goes to the motor. If you do and the wipers still don't work, the motor is probably bad.
Let me know if you need a pump. I know somone with a good used one.
