American Motors: Fuel problems 1966 Rambler American 440, napa auto parts, windshield wipers

Question
I am helping a friend restore a 1966 Rambler American 440 with a 6 cylinder automatic transmisson. We are trying to locate a carb and fuel pump. The fuel pump looks like nothing that I have ever seen before. It looks like there is some type of fuel regulater on the top of the pump. Do you know if there are any replacement parts for these or a substitute for the above mentioned parts. Thank you for any assistance you can give me. Thanks, Al

Answer
You can locate a carburetor at www.napaonline.com or your local NAPA auto parts store. They also have over haul kits for your carburetor.
A fuel pump can be found at www.oldcarparts.com
The fuel pump on your car is a combination vaccuum pump that operates the windshield wipers.
Hope this helps.
