I live in California and I am looking for somone to look at the transmission on my 68 american. it has 65,000 miles on it and it slips going from 2nd to 3rd. I have owned this car for 6 months and it has done this from the start. If I am easy on the gas it does not slip. Do you know of someone In CA that would be able to look at it.

I am in Aptos CA which is close to San Jose and Santa Cruz area but willing to travel for the right service.

Your Rambler has a Borg Warner transmission. There are band adjustments that can be performed. This might improve your shift condition. If 65,000 miles is original, you MIGHT get away with having the bands adjusted and the fluid changed.
