Audio Systems: auto stereo systems, meyers manx dune buggy, manx dune buggy

Question
I am building a Meyers Manx dune buggy. The dash area is not large enough and the angle is abrupt enough to make it about impossible to mount a stereo in dash. I do not need cd capability as i won't be able to store cds and can't lock it up. i do want to have am/fm and sat. lots of room under hood to mount a remote unit and a remote wired control could be mounted on the dash. i have found several units with wired remotes, most all could work but the remotes do not offer front rear fade or l/r volume control.any ideas would be helpful.
         thanks

Answer
There are many car radio products with remote controls of various kinds.  Just use google shopping search.

Another really good place is crutchfield.com who has large listing of products to fit almost any kind of installation.

Also, you might find a specialty radio in the marine catalogs because boats often use radios mounted in dry, out of the way places with remote operations.

Likewise, there are many mounting brackets that can be used to mount radio in extended locations of dash area of dune buggy.  Try looking through installer.com websites.

Hope this helps.
