Audio Systems: NO DISPLAY ON MY 2000 FORD EXPLORER HEAD UNITE, factory radios, ford factory

Question
I GOT THE RADIO APART AND THE POWER SULLY BOARD OFF IT LOOKS IF THE ONE BIG RESISTORS INSTATING IS BURNT OFF THE REST OF THE BOARD
IS BURNT BLACK IN THE CENTER. HOW CAN I GET MY LED DISPLAY BACK AND WORKING AND STOP IT FROM HEATING UP AGAIN?

Answer
this is a problem on 1998 to 2001 ford radios with the dual media tape and cd

All the 1 watt resistors need to be replace, if you can replace them with 2 watts it will help
mount them high in the air about 5mm from the board or more
after that you have to clean the board and re-solder all the points near the 8 pin chip on the back
good luck

if this is to much work or if you need a faster solution you can buy a new power supply board from  here  Ford factory radios
