Audio Systems: 02 Taurus cd player, taurus cd player, taurus radio

I just recently bought a '02 Ford Taurus sedan. It has a single disc cd player. I know for a fact that there is a CD in it but it says there is no CD therefore it won't eject or load. I don't know how long the CD player hasn't worked since I didn't ask when I bought it from the previous owner. Do you know what's wrong with it? If so how do I fix it?

unplug the battery ,for about 15 minutes this will reset the radio and when you plug the battery again it will eject the cd, if is not stuck or there is any damage to the cd player,

If this don't help, the radio needs to be repair, the problem is that you will lose your ac controls during this repair that takes a few days

the best way will be to buy a rebuild radio,  they are $150.00 from here and comes with the ac part of the dash  Ford factory radio
