Audio Systems: fuse or breaker?, watt power amp, amp performance

Question
I have 2 pionner 1000 watt subs and an 1800 watt power amp (performance teknique icbm) should I be using a fuse or breaker set up after the battery?

Answer
Whichever you choose will work fine.
Just be sure the wire and fuse rating is high enough to cover both amplifiers' fuse ratings.  The battery protection device is basically there to protect from a fire during a direct short of the power wire.
