Audio Systems: Building a speaker box, watts rms, building a speaker box

Question
This isn't my first build but I'm having issues with the program I was gonna use. I have a 2000 s10 extended cab. I have 18"x18" space to work with. Depth isn't an issue. I'm running a single power acoustic fubr 12, not the fubar 12 w... and a power acoustic 2000w gothic class d amp. I listen to heavy metal.

Power acoustic fubr 12
spl 91db
fs:   33.5 hz
vas: 1.72 cu ft
qms: 4.66
qes:  .55
qts:   .4943
xmax: .6"
tuned 34 htz

the manufacturer calls for a 1cu ft box, is that before or after the speaker is
mounted.

Answer
I would say yes on the sealed 1 cubic foot enclosure.
There is a 15-20% +- tolerance for most drivers/enclosure combos.
If you are not happy with the results and think it needs to be a tad larger, add 1 pound of poly Dacron to the box.

700 watts RMS... be careful with that 2KW amp.

Figure on a about 600 watts RMS (continuous, average power) in a 2 Ohm-mono setup or about 500 watts RMS at 4 Ohms.
