Question
Will I loose the high end of rear components in a 2003 ram 1500 crew cab if I put the tweets in the rear pillars
and 5.5s in rear doors. JL is coming out with a new three way component I want to put the woofers in front doors and mids and tweets in kick panels. I just want to have a good solid crisp system. Alpine head is already in truck 8" sub amps and components are all that are left to put in. Am I on the right track.

To the greatest extent possible tweeters or high frequency reproducers should be line of sight for best results.  If your tweeters are mounted high enough they will be alright.

Subwoofers are "non-directional" and can be mounted wherever they have the greatest acoustic performance.  Mids are okey in the doors, but they often sound best where they can "blow directly" at the listener.  When mids and tweeters are mounted behind the driver it makes for sound coming from the back of the head - which is alright if you like it.  Most listeners prefer front mounted speakers for the main channel.  That said, in automobile acoustical environments there is so much glass and therefore reflections that it is sometimes hard to  tell the direction of th sound.
