Audio Systems: No signal from antenna., cd mp3 player, car philips

Question
Hello there,
I have a Hyundai Sonata 1996 model. There was an old cassette player which came along with this car (philips make). So I got a new Sony CD/MP3 player. I did the wiring by myself. Everything seems to be working fine except for the Tuner. I am not able to listen to any radio stations. :-( At the back of the Sony CD/MP3 player, there is a slot for Antenna. Since mine is an old car, it doesn't have any cable that can fit into that slot. Is there anything that can be done?

antenna connector
The antenna cable goes from the antenna (probably mounted over the wheel or fender of the car or sometimes mounted inside the rear window) to the input at the rear of the radio unit.

The plug looks like the attached jpg image - or at least most of them.  When purchasing a new antenna it generally will come with an antenna cable with the "F" connector included.  If the car had an antenna previously it should now have the antenna cable still in the vehicle unless it was intentionally ripped out for some reason.

You may need a new antenna, then, if there is no cable or existing antenna.

PS: If the cars antenna wire has a different connector you may need to clip it off and fasten a new connector that is compatible with your radio unit.  An installation shop can do this quickly.
