Audio Systems: Defective cd player, car radio repair, radio units

Question
Where can I get the CD player in my car fixed locally?  I am located in Maryland.  The radio works fine but it had to be disconnected because the CD player was in the Checking Disc mode which was wearing down my battery which created a jump start condition at least 3 times.

Answer
Will not the cd eject and reset?  Have you tried a "reset" of the cd player?  Check the owners manual for the reset procedure.  Or, if you dare, you can reset it by disconnecting all power to the radio unit.  Lift one of the big cables off the battery which will disconnect all power to the entire car.   You must leave power off the radio/player unit for at least 15 minutes before powering it up again.

Any good install/repair shop should be able to check the problem out and give you a recommendation on what to do. It may even be cheaper to just replace the head unit.  You can go to crutchfield.com and work through their "outfit my car" which will give you a listing of radio units that will fit in and work in your vehicle.

I googled these words: car radio repair shops in maryland

and found many, many mobile shops that could do the job.  Since I have no idea where you live you will have to choose on close to your location and contact them with your question.

And best wishes to you.  Let me know if you need further ideas or suggestions.
