Audio Systems: 1995 Ford Explorer with JBL system, remote CD, radio repair, 1995 ford explorer

Question
Went dead. No lights, no sound, no aerial up, no CD, etc. Checked both fuses. Radio repair guy said that it was a board that controlled the on/off switch but he couldn't find a replacement. I'm not sure he was even aware that he was looking at a head unit and not a radio but I could be wrong. Anyway, ordered a used unit on eBay that was in "working condition" from a 1997 Explorer. Plugged it in and same thing, nothing. Checked fuses again. Checked wiring and all looks good. Could order another used unit but any other ideas/suggestions?

Answer
that is not the problem , the radio needs 3 powers and there are 3 fuses, radio, memory, amplifier
if they are all ok , the RCU tuner box is difective and needs to be replace, look on the right side panel next to the woofer , the complet panel needs to be remove
good luck
