Audio Systems: high pitched noise, high pitch, sony stereo

Question
I have my toshiba HD tv hooked up to my sony stereo system through the aux output on the tv and the aux input on the stereo and now when i watch movies everytime the actors talk i hear i high pitch noise and its not the movie, what could be causing the noise could it be the power surger thats sits right behind the stereo because i have the tv, cable box, ps3, ps2, and xbox 360 hooked up to it. Could any of that cause the interference in the speakers to cause the high pitch noise please help its really annoying?

Answer
I don't think it's anything external, because if it was, you'd hear the interference all of the time - not just when the actors speak. I have the feeling it's either the TV aux output or the aux input on the Sony that's causing the issue.  As it's very difficult to diagnose something like this over the internet, here are some troubleshooting tips:

If you have another device that you can run the TV audio into (another receiver perhaps?), try that and see if the noise is still there.

Have you tried any other devices through the aux input on the stereo (cd player, dvd, iPod)?

Does the stereo have another input that you can try (cd, dvd, etc..)?

Also, and this is a longshot, if you have another set of interconnects, do you get the same noise with them?

Let me know if any of this helps! Good luck...
