Audio Systems: Fuse Box Cap Amp, amp fuse, fuse box

Question
I was reading the firections on the Cap, and it says to have the fuse box before it. I have a BXI2610D, it has no fuse, maybe built into the inside of the amp, dunno. Would it be alright if I hand the fuse box between the cap and amp. Right now I have it hooked up:
Battery-Fuse Box-Cap-Amp
Could I run it:
Battery-Cap-Fuse Box-Amp
I'm aspost to have a 250 amp fuse right now, but all I got is a 200 amp. It a 3.5 Farad Cap.

Answer
You should have a fuse between the power cap and the battery. This is for protection. If you do not have one, you can purchase a fuse port from Radio Shack or some electronics supply house and just add it in the line from the battery.  It is not a big investment.  A few dollars for the fuse port/holder and a few dollars for the fuse.  But, it may prevent a fire in the event of a melt down of the cap or the amp somewhere.

Most caps come with a fuse.  Yours did not?
