Audio Systems: Overhead DVD player, auxiliary input adapter, buick rendezvous

Question
QUESTION: Hello,

I recently bought a overhead flip down DVD player that you would find stock in certain mini vans/SUV's.  I want to install it in my 02 Buick Rendezvous.  The question I have is, can I hook the power up to the existing power supply that the dome lights run off of and just ground it to the frame or do I need to run a dedicated wire to constant power?  What I would like, is to have the unit turn on and off by ignition without messing with the factory stereo or the ignition itself.  The vehicle does not have a dome light in the center of the roof itself, it has a dome lights above each door and one in the back.  Can you suggest what would be the best way to go about this so that when the car is turned off, the unit doesn't stay on and drain the power.  Thanks in advance.

ANSWER: nooo
get the power from the ignition ,
not the lights

QUESTION: How would I go about doing that?

Answer
any fuse in the fuse bx with ignition power,
or the cigarret lighter fuse they have ignition power
also how are you planing to get the audio to play on all the inside speakers ?

this linkis for the AUX audio input interface for your vehicle, with this the dvd will sound clear, your radio needs to have a BAND button or CD/AUX  button
this device will need ignition power so you can connect at te same time with the DVD power
