Audio Systems: Car Audio, amp output, range speakers

Question
alright so i have a 96' Dodge Intrepid ES. I recently bought a new CD player.  I Have a factory amp which powers all my speakers and another amp which powers my subwoofers, i have all speaker wires connected and my remote wire from my amp that powers my subs connected.  The problem is that i can only hear my subs .  Is there a certain wire that i am missing? or certain ones that i need to bridge?

Answer
All amps must have the remote "turn-on" wire, not just the sub amp.  If that is missing all you have to do is jumper the remote from the sub amp over to the main amp (four channel? One amp powers all full-range speakers?)

If you do have the impedance matched properly between the main amp and the full-range speakers?  If not, you could be sending the amp into protection mode - but most amps have a light or some indicator that comes on when it goes into protection.  So, you must determine if the amp is coming ON and why not.

And, are you sure you have the speaker wires correctly connected from amp output to the speaker wires:

See above for the wiring color codes.  This will help you verify the connections between amp and speakers.
