Audio Systems: CAR, 4 ohms, front doors

Question
I OWN A ALPINE SPR-13S COMPONENT SYSTEM FOR MY FRONT DOORS AND A PAIR OF ALPINE SPR-69C REAR DECK SPEAKERS, I WANT TO CONNECT AN AMP FOR ALL THE SPEAKERS, WHAT KIND OF AMP SHOULD I USE? PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THE Alpine MRP-F300 DELIVERS ENOUGH POWER FOR ALL FOUR SPEAKERS? SHOULD I GO WITH A MORE POWERFUL AMP?

Answer
The MRP-F300  is 50 watts into 4 ohms.  It contains 4 amplifiers.  The speaker systems you have are 4 ohms so you have the right match that way.

The sensitivity of the fronts is 86db and the SPR-69C 89db so they will need a little more power than the 50w in my opinion.  For starting out the 50w is okey and for a small car it may be just fine (you didn't give me the model/make of the vehicle you are going to install them in).  So, my opinion is that the amp you mentioned can be adequate but not ideal.  If you can step up to more power it would be nice but not mandatory.

To a great extent the final sound you get will depend on many other things such as the car, how they are mounted in the car, what kind of music you are prone to listen to and at what level of loudness.

Why don't you start with the amp and see how it goes. You can always upgrade later.

Let me know if you wish to converse about it more.
