Audio Systems: pre-amp with phono, amp. without one, phono pre amp, atoll electronique

Question
I have a 1982 Conrad Johnson pre-amplifier(pv-5) with a phono section, to be paired with a 2006 Atoll Electronique integrated amp (In-100), that is absent a phono section.  Is it possible to play phono, or do I need a phono- pre-amp?

Answer
Well, I am not sure I understand your question.  The PV-5 is a very fine preamp with a really good phono preamp with stereo inputs.  The Atoll is a very fine stereo integrated amp that can be driven by the PV-5.  You have a terrific amplification system all ready to go.  All you need is a good turntable with a Grado mc cartridge and a pair of good speakers for awesome sound.

So what more do you want?
