Audio Systems: Car Audio, suzuki grand vitara, 2003 suzuki grand vitara

Question
I have a 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara and I want to make some upgrades to the factory audio system. I've kept the factory deck but have replaced the front-door and trunk-roof Clarion factory-speakers with Pioneer speakers. Through luck I've found the tweeter wires in the compartments on the dash board. But having read stuff on the net, people claim that grand vitara's are suppose to have a 7-speaker audio system. Do you happen to know where the last one is?? And what type of speaker is it intended for?....whether a subwoofer or something else. And how do I go about setting it up?

Answer
I don't know about that.  Let me search it and see what I can find.

OK. Here's the deal.  I could not find the car manual or the radio/stereo manuals.  I did find the wiring guides and they do not list the wires for the 7 speaker system although we know there is such an animal.  Since you found the tweeter wires which account for 6 of the 7 speakers it must be assumed the 7th speaker is for a woofer.  Probably there is a separate amp to feed it.  If you look at the outputs of the amplifier system(s) you should be able to determine this to be the case.

Sorry couldn't give you more information but Suzuki documentation is not nearly as readily available as most other cars.
