Audio Systems: alpine flip out, 2007 pontiac g6, pontiac g6

hi i have a apline 310 flipout unit for my car its a 2007 pontiac g6 and my screen goes into standby after 3 seconds everything still works music plays but the screen turns off and the light on the bottom flashes slowly and as soon as i tap the screen it turns back on for couple seconds and if i leave it alone it turns off again until i tap it again how do i fix this so the screen stays on all the time so i can watch dvds and such?

I don't think that is a right model number.

Where is it mounted?  A video screen playing live video in the front is illegal in the USA.  The units I am familiar with will not play video but can be used for NAV or jpg viewing only.  Some of the Alpine units will play video for just a second then fade out unless the car is stopped and is in the park mode. It is illegal to alter the feature unless the screen is in the back seat for back seat passengers only.....
