Audio Systems: Question reg 128kbps MP3 with a DAC, lossy format, dac

Hello,

I have most of my music collection in the form of 128kbps . I plan to use a chinese DAC after hearing that a DAC improves the sound quality. Does it really improve sound quality ?

It depends on the quality of the DAC. I've heard good and bad conversion quality.
One thing to remember also is that regardless of the sample rate of the mp3, it is a very lossy format, and no DAC will replace the frequencies that were truncated during compression.
