are there any performance chips for 87 suzuki samurai

Answer
Nope.  Chips only work on computer controlled fuel injection systems.  An 87 Samurai is a distributor ignition carbureted engine.  You can change the cam, headers, and carb for better performance, although if you're going to do much offroading, the stock carb is very good.  There are a couple of fuel system refits that are good, but not cheap.
