Audio Systems: wireing two dvc subs to a 2 ohm stable amp, watts rms, 300w rms

Question
i have two alpine type r dvc subs and a lanzar vibe 286 4000 watt 2 channel amp. what is the best way to wire them

Answer
It depends on which model Type R's you have.
I know that they manufacture those speakers with 2 or 4 ohm coils (perhaps even more for instance a 1 ohm per coil design).
Once I know the specific model number you own, I can assist you.

Btw, that amp is rated at:
2x 450W RMS at 2 Ohms
2x 300W RMS at 4 Ohms
This means that if you use a 4 ohm, bridged mono setup the best you will get is about 900 watts RMS.
RMS (average/continuous) wattage is the only wattage you want to use for matching speakers and amps.
It is not a 'great' amp, but you have to start somewhere and 900 watts RMS is significant.
