Audio Systems: no sound, pioneer cd player, bose systems

Question
I am putting an aftermarket pioneer cd player in my car. the stock stereo is bose. when i hook up my pioneer it has power but i have no sound coming from the speakers. how can i fix this??

Answer
I need to know the make, year and model of the car/vehicle you are installing - it makes all the difference in the world which car.  Why?  Because the Bose systems are unique to each car installation.

As a general rule in most Bose auto systems you cannot mix Bose with other brands.  Why? Because Bose is a non-conformist and their products do not follow the standard conventions that others follow. Many Bose installations have the power amplifiers installed inside the speakers and require special driver circuits.

Most people find it a matter of practical necessity to just gut out the entire Bose system from end to end and totally replace the entire system; head unit, power amps and speakers.  Maybe even, in some cars, replace all the wiring and connectors as well.

But, let me know your vehicle and maybe there is hope.  Also, you can call www.cructhfield.com who has the best knowledge of the compatibility of the systems for Bose. You may get lucky and find a booster or interface kit that might allow you to connect into the Bose amplifier, but be prepared to give them the total details of your car. They are real experts on this.  You don't have to purchase any product from them, but their information is invaluable.

Hope this helps; sorry for the bad news.
