Audio Systems: Amp and Speakers, kicker solo baric, kicker solo baric l5

Question
I have a Kicker W850.2 Amp, and a pair of Kicker Solo Baric L5's 12inch. Im trying to figure out the right way to wire the subs, cause each sub have 4 terminals on them, which one will i hook the speaker wiring too.

Answer
The impedance must be matched as best as you can.  The impedance load can be higher but never lower than the rating of the amplifier. Look in the owners manual for the specifications of your amplifier (The model number you gave me is not found on the Kicker support pages).

Then look at the impedance rating of the speakers you have.  They are probably DVC and each coil is most likely 4 ohms.  So, in parallel they become a 2 ohm speaker.

For example: If the amp will sustain a 2 ohm load and is a stereo or two channel amp you can connect one speaker to each amp with the voice coils in parallel.

You can see examples at the crutchfield pages:

and select the configuration that you think fits your application best.

Then, come back to me if you are confused in any way.
