Audio Systems: Grand cherokee limited (2000 edition) sound system, infinity systems, car tape

My Car tape and Cd player are both have power and appear to be working but i dont get any sound from the speakers?

Answer
Could be many things.
It could be bad fuses or grounds.
The amp could be bad.
The amp could have been by-passed by a previous owner and simply not hooked up (if you bought this used).
Without seeing this in person, you may be looking at an entire system upgrade to fix this one. On the other hand, you may just need to plug in a connector.
In the worst case, Infinity systems should be replaced with aftermarket gear once they go south.
That is.. a deck and 4-6 speakers. Amp is optional.
