Audio Systems: car audio, wiring harnesses, pioneer unit

Question
a bought a new head unit the In Phase IPS620SD, but when i removed my tape player there was a pioneer adaptor on the wires, just wondering if i can get an adaptor that fits the pioneer then to in phase?? or if a will have to buy blocks and re-wire it?? please help

Answer
Page ENG-4 of your manual

http://www.inphaseaudio.co.uk/manuals/ips620sd.pdf

shows the complete wiring of the ISO connector to your IN Phase unit and you must have a wiring harness that matches that to your car wiring (which you did not reveal).

So, you must find a maker of wiring harnesses for your car so it can be matched to your IN Phase connections.  It will then replace the Pioneer unit - unless the wiring is the same (some makers follow the same arrangement, some don't).

In the USA most car audio shops carry the multitude of wiring harnesses and adapters and they are not expensive (5 pounds, about).  I think you will find the same in the UK.

Any more questions?

PS: You can google for an adapter to go from the Pioneer to the InPhase but I doubt if you will find such; it didn't show up on anything that I looked at quickly.
