Audio Systems: speaker noise when stereo is off, crackling speakers, bose system

Question
I have a 2005 Pathfinder with a bose system. my amp is under my seat and 2 of my speakers make a crackle and poping noise when off or on. it is quite loud and annoying Im not sure how 2 fix it.

Answer
Here is my wild guesses:

ONE:  The amplifier under the seat is not really going off.  Either it is wired ON all the time or the remote turn on line from the head unit is stuck in the on position and the amp has the noise problem in one of the ICs.

TWO:  The final amplifier is in the speaker basket.  This is a trademark of Bose.  The amp under the seat is a kind of pre-driver for the final amps that are mounted in the speaker basket to give the final shot of power to the speakers.  The two crackling speakers may have been exposed to to much sun/heat and caused this.  And, for the same reasons as in #1 the power to those speakers is not going OFF.

It is easy to find out if you take it to a good shop.  With a couple of quick checks they will tell you right away what is causing it.
