Audio Systems: Jammed cd in sony home stereo system, sony cmt hpx7, home stereo system

I recently put a cd in my home stereo system at home it has a 5 cd changer and i think the cds got jammed cause when you press open it just displays the word open but the draw stays closed and you can hear things moving about. its a sony cmt hpx7 about 2 years old. maybe theres a bolt to just realease the cd changer?

Although these devices are not user serviceable, if your handy remove the top cover (usually philips screws) and carefully try to turn the tray to expose and remove all CD's. What could have happened is that you either inserted a CD upside down or put 2 CD in one compartment.

Another thing you can try is to unplug it from the wall for about 30 secs. Plug it back in and press disc change
