American Motors: Clutch / Pressure Plate, spline input shaft, shaft diameter

Question
I have an 232 3 spd standard transmisson behind a 304 engine, I need help to figure out the correct clutch and pressure plate needed to hold up to the 304. When I have called other parts stores they aske for the spline input shaft diameter and I am unwilling to remove it as of yet.
The car in question is a 1976 AMC Gremlin.
I will appericate any and all help you could send my way.

Answer
I do not know the number of splines as it varies based on the year & transmission.
I can tell you the diameter of the 6 cylinder clutch disc is 9 1/4". The 304 disc is 10" and a 360/401 disc is 11"
The pilot bearing for the six cylinder is usually smaller than the one for the V-8's.
