Audio Systems: cd-r, denon f100, many faces

Question
hi-i have just transfered some vinyl onto cd-r.however when i tried to play it on my denon f100 cd player nothing happened.is it because the system is old?

Answer
Are the files music or data? Are they Wav or a codec? New computers can encode files numerous different ways. If your player is not designed to decode (or read) anything other that a Wav file then you will have a problem. Even if you have the original manual from the player, it may have been written before anyone knew that CDR's could have so many faces.
