Audio Systems: Audio installation, chevy cobalt, radio unit

Question
Hi I'm currently trying to install a full audio system in my 2007 Chevy cobalt ls 2dr coupe. I have everything i need but the only problem that's keeping me from being able to hook everything up is the stock Cd player has no ac output plugs so i purchased an aftermarket Cd player and a wiring harness but the problem with that is there is  some special connector or adapter that you have to get to be able to connect the wiring harness to then plug that into the aftermarket Cd player any help?

Answer
I am not certain what the question is.  If you are wanting to feed the audio output of the cd player into an external amp that is one thing; if you are wanting to feed it into the input of the head unit that is another.

Let me suggest this:

Go to either installer.com or crutchfield.com and search through their adapters and kits to see if you can find the one that works for what you want to do.

The manual for your devices should show you wiring diagrams or hookups that will help you in going forward.  When you purchase an aftermarket cd player the retailer, such as BestBuy, will have the correct adapter for your installation.  They are not so expensive.

If you still have questions, please give me the make and model number of the radio unit and the cd player so I can give you  a more exact answer.

Best wishes,
C
