Audio Systems: Denon 1601 Input Issue, pro logic, strange thing

A strange thing has suddenly developed with this receiver.  When I try to set the audio to TV/DBS, it goes there for a moment, pauses, goes to D-Coaxial, and then settles at "Pro Logic TV."  With that setting, I'm getting no tv audio through my sound system.  I've tried turning the receiver on and off, and repeatedly tried to get it to go to the TV/DBS setting.  Any idea why it refuses to stay there?

It sounds to me as if it has a default setting which is set to Pro Logic. I'm not familiar enough with that unit. If you have the manual look to see if there is a section that talks about modes. If not either try Denon tech support or go to their website an download the operation manual. It's probably in PDF form.
