Audio Systems: 05 Ford Freestyle Factory CD/Radio Problem, car fuses, ford freestyle

Question
My 05 Freestyle factory radio went dead about a week ago (the radio, 6 cd changer, clock are all blank and seem to be out of power). I have a checked the car fuses (none blown), I also multi-meter available, and I have the ability to remove the unit from the car. Once the audio unit is out of the car but still with all the plugs attached, how do I use the multimeter to test if the problem is the audio unit itself or if the problem is with power getting to the unit? The unit has 4 things plugged in to the back, on round orange cable, and 4 multi-pin plugs. Also, someone mentioned that the unit itself might have a fuse inside that might have blown... do you know if it has a fuse and if so, how can I get to it to change it?

Answer
there are 2 fuses for the radio one is in the engine compartment

if they are all ok and the radio clock time don't show  it is not a good sign ,
the problem  is that this are very good radios not many problems and they don't die just like that
check all the fuses again  first plug there are 3 heavy wires 2 need to have power
good luck
