Question
my grand am wont start unless i jump it the battery and alternater is good its not getting fuel unless i jump it and it will run as im driving it if i shut it off it wants to restart but it wont

Answer
Hey Jeff:

The car will not start unless it jump started and once it's started it runs untill you shut it off then it will not crank again? ? When it will not start/crank does the car have any power to any of the acccessories like interior light head lamps etc? If not and once you jump it it does My guess is a bad connection at the battery on either one or both of the cables. when you jump start it you are basically feeding power into the opisite side of the cable that the battery would normally ground or have power at the battery. Once it starts the laternator is basically running all of the electrical components on the car. Al so look at the ground wires where they mount to the body and the engine. I'm sure this is an easy and simple fix. Good luck :}
