i have a 1991 cadillac sedan deville i just want to know where is the factory amplifier located because aftermarket deck dosen't have no sound coming out of speakers and factory deck does but dosen't sound right

Are you sure it has an external power amp?  Some did and some didn't during that year.

Perhaps you just haven't connected up the speakers correctly.  The replacement unit does not have the same interconnections as does the original deck.  You should either rewire to match or obtain a wiring harness for the new installation.
