Audio Systems: 1996 infiniti i30 audio problems, 1996 infiniti i30, turn signals

Question
I have an i30 and all of a sudden the radio shut off, and turned back on right away. The next time I used the radio, 5 mins in it shuts off and there is a clicking from the passenger side. I took the panel off to reveal what looks like relay, but the relay/fuse you find under the hood for the AC or Horn. I switched the relay/fuse out with the AC as it was matching and still the same problem. It will happen when im driving and sometimes when i break or use my turn signals. I am thinking it is a short, but where would it be if the only relay/fuse acting up is the one on the passenger side.

Answer
Never heard of a relay controlling a radio, however you'll need to trace down and see what's controlling the relay and go from there. This is NOT an easy task. A meter will help or take it to a dealer.

A bad relay isn't out of the realm of possibilties either.

Whatever is controlling the relay is probably the culprit or a bad connection somewhere as you say.
