Audio Systems: disconnecting tweeters, infinity gold, rear speakers

Question
I have a 2000 grand cherokee limited with the stock deck and infinity gold speakers, the front dash tweeters are blown and would like too disconnect them temporarialy, so i can keep the fader on both front and rear! right now i have too keep the fader all the way to the rear speakers cause the tweeters crackle bad. Is this a pain to do, can the screens be taken off and then remove the tweeters to expose the wires? or do you have to come from under the dash? thanks for any and all help you can hrow my way!

Answer
it is better to take the dash apart ,and replace them  don't unplug them
sound will be very bad with out them
they are not tweeters ,they are midrange and most of the audio comes from there

the big speaker on the door is only a mid bass driver

good luck
