Audio Systems: Wireless speakers, wireless speakers, little boxes

Question
Hi, I purchased some JBL 2.4 g  wireless speakers, without realizing that they require preamp outputs to work. My stereo receiver does not have preamp outputs. Any idea how to make use of them without having to buy a new, expensive receiver?

Thanks!

Answer
Yes, you must feed an rca type/level audio into the transmitter.  If the receiver you are using has no audio outputs you have only two options:

ONE:  As you stated, purchase a new receiver that does have these audio outputs.

TWO:  Use a hi-lo converter that brings the speaker level down to the required input level and feed the transmitter from that.  You can make such a box by yourself or purchase them from retailers.  The car audio market has many variations of these boxes, such as this one:

which will work fine for any audio system.  These little boxes allow you to tap into the speaker output lines of your receiver and pad down the voltage to work into the preamp level input of your transmitter.

Hope this helps.
