Audio Systems: bose v30, panasonic plasma tv, external audio source

Question
I recently purchased a Bose v30 system and seem to be having 2 problems. 1) do you know of a high quality docking station for an iPod that connects to the v30?   And 2) I seem to be having problems finding a code for the universal remote to control my panasonic plasma tv and philips dvd player.  I have tried all codes the v30 offers but none seem to work.  Do you have any suggestions?  Thanks.

Answer
ONE: No. I don't see one listed by Bose but you should check directly with them.  I do not pay much attention to Bose because their equipment is by and large non-standard when compared with the rest of the industry.  They tend to go their own way.   The V30 does have audio inputs so you can connect any external audio source such as MP3 players or iPods that have a conventional analog audio output.

TWO:  Panasonic and Philips equipment is very popular for universal remotes to operate.  So, I am surprised the Bose remote does not operate them successfully.  Did you follow the instructions exactly as explained in the owners manual on pages 28 thru 32?  If the V30 still does not operate the tv and dvd player it may be defective.  Time for warranty assist in this case.

This is very expensive, high quality playback equipment.  I suggest you go to the Bose help line and get them involved as they usually offer good support to their customers.  The numbers for this support are listed on the insert that came in the carton the product was shipped in.

Hope this helps.
