Audio Systems: pioneer supertunerIII, car harness, power key

ok so i have a pioneer super tuner 3 (deh-p3500) i have a wiring harness that has a yellow wire that says battery+, a yellow wire with a black stripe that says mute, a yellow wire withe a white stripe that says ILL, a red wire that says ACC, a blue wire that says remote control systems,and a black wire, along with the reagular type speaker wires, everytime i try to hook it up into a truck or just to a battery it never comes on i have a sony cd play when i attach the red and yello wire to the positive terminal and ground out the black wire it will come on but i cannot get this to do anything it came out of a boat and i have no idea how it was wired in there but it has a car harness on it i was told it worked fine in the boat and now i cant get it to turn on any help would be helpful thanks cody

Did you check the fuse?

The yellow wire should be connected to constant power, the red wire to switched power (key switch, ACCessory), yellow/white to the ILLumination of the dash (if applicable), the blue wire is for an amp (if applicable) and ground the black.

If at anytime water was introduced to the unit, it's toast.
