Audio Systems: Amplifiers, honda civic hatchback, 1992 honda civic hatchback

Question
Ok...so i have two amplifiers set up in my 1992 honda civic hatchback, and one of the amplifiers runs my subs and the other, my highs and mids. I recently uninstalled the amp running my highs and mids, and had it out only for a day, and then was installing it back in that night and the power touched the ground, now it sounded like a fuse blew but the fuses are all fine, the two in the amp, the two 50 amp ones in the back and the main(60 amp) one near the battery. now the power AND
protect lights are on on both amplifiers, the head unit is on, and there is no sound, from the subs or the speakers.
what might be the problem(P.S. I also have a relay on my remote wire, and the fuse on that is also fine)

Answer
The fact that the protect lights are on indicates that a problem has been detected in the final stage of the amp.  In protect mode, there will be no output at all.  I suspect that you sent the power surge through the speaker output lines rather than ground.  The outputs will need to be replaced.  I also suspect that if you were to open up one of the amps, you would find craters in the output chips or burned spots.

This will be an expensive fix.
