Audio Systems: installing aftermarket cd player in 01 suburban, output circuits, wire harness

i installed a aftermarket cd player in my 01 suburban and it powers up and works normal but has no sound i tryed a different radio and it does not work either.the factory one works fine.

Did you use a converting wire harness to get the wires going to the right connections on the head unit?  Or did you wire them yourself?

is a good place to go to get the wiring adapter.

If you want to do the wire hookups by yourself you must get out the wiring diagram from the aftermarket head unit and connect it according to the wiring diagram of the car:

I think the wiring diagram/colors, etc. for the above will work for your vehicle.

PS: I hope you haven't destroyed the output circuits of the new amps; if they were driven into shorted wiring it could have damaged them.  But, you can check it when you get the wiring straightened out.
